GREIPL Group - Expansion of our capabilities in precision engineering
GREIPL Group is always focused on providing highest quality, precision, and reliability in the manufacturing of mechanical and electronic components, assemblies and complex systems to their customers. In order to continue offering our customers an even broader range of services in the future, we have invested in a new and highly automated machining center for turned and milled components.
With this investment, we are consistently continuing the growth strategy in our precision engineering business even in challenging times, while simultaneously expanding our range of services. In addition to the previously usual small and medium series, we can now also efficiently and economically produce turned and milled parts in significantly larger quantities.
- Simultaneous processing in 2 variable setups: The machine is equipped with three CNC tool turrets and a total of 36 fixinstalled tools. Machining of angled surfaces and drilled holes is easily possible with the integrated swivel axis. The main and counter spindle are processed simultaneously by all three tool turrets. This creates maximum performance and optimized cycle times.
- Automated parts handling: The supply and removal of parts is carried out using a gripper concept specially adapted to the part geometry. This enables an automated and disruption-free production process for workpieces up to Ø230 x 250mm and a maximum weight of 10kg.
- Intelligent tool monitoring: By using intelligent tool monitoring in the machining center, tool breakage or wear is detected at an early stage. This way, we ensure consistent quality and dimensional accuracy – even with large order quantities and complex machining sequences.
- Digital networking and traceability: An integrated data management system combined with a measurement and process data collection tailored to the specific customer requirements enables process safety and traceability throughout the entire processing procedure.
"This opens up completely new possibilities in chip removal for us and our customers, thus also rounding off the series production range upwards" - explains Matthias Weinmann, project manager for precision parts manufacturing.
