With the introduction of holistic obsolescence management, we are strengthening planning security and increasing resilience in the supply of our customers. Short-term supply failures of individual components can have far-reaching consequences – from production interruptions to short-term "workarounds" or even cost-intensive new developments. With the extended service, GREIPL now offers comprehensive and systematic protection against these risks.
Our new and completely revised obsolescence management is based on the recognized standards of the VDI standard 2882 and the ZVEI and includes a wide range of services. By using the manufacturer-independent platform SiliconExpert, we are able to track our entire active inventory of electronic components over the product life circle of our customer products (time of active use) and can thus immediately obtain relevant manufacturer information of affected components according to the JEDEC standard (PCN/PDN) to our customers. Our extended service portfolio also includes the suggestion system of second manufacturers (second source) and advice on last buy options and strategic stock stockpiling.
If required, we also offer our customers support in product improvement ("change requests") and development of replacement solutions ("workarounds"). Feel free to put our expertise in electronics development to the test!
